Postal ballot system could be considered under review

Prime Minister John Key says the postal ballot format for local body elections could be looked at as part of a forthcoming constitutional review.

The review is part of the Government's confidence-and-supply agreement with the Maori Party.

Mr Key says whether the current format for electing local government representatives is the right system could be part of the review.

He says the terms of reference for the review are still being drawn up.
