It's hoped that parts can soon be obtained for a plane that was carrying the govenor of American Samoa when it had to make an emergency landing at Pago Pago airport on Friday.

The Vision Air flight was taking the Governor and tourism officials on a flight over Manu'a when problems with the landing gear developed.

It was forced to dump fuel before making an emergency landing.

The plane suffered only minor damage as it skidded along the runway.

It's still hoped the Fairchild Dornier aircraft can begin a carter service to Manu'a next week
