The French military has flown more than 13-hundred kilos of relief supplies to victims of Cyclone Ivy in Vanuatu which hit the country late last month.
A plane flew to French Polynesia to pick up basic food supplies, such as sugar and rice, as well as clothing.
The French high commission in Papeete says the assistance is being given under the so-called FRANZ accord involving help by France, Australia and New Zealand.
Thousands of people are still reported homeless and there is concern that they may have to go hungry because the cyclone has washed away food gardens.
