French Polynesia's Assembly has called off a session to debate the budget after four MPs walked out.

The news agency Tahitipresse reports the vice-president of the Assembly, Hiro Tefaarere, walked out of the chamber, with three of his supporters.

He's reported as saying he was ill at ease with the Assembly, because of broken promises.
