10:30 am on 12 May 2005

The United States Department of Interior is leading a mission of 15 American businesses to the Pacific.

The mission aims to attract potential US business investors to Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and the Republic of Palau .

The participants, who will pay for their own travel and expenses, represent companies in tourism, high technology, specialty agriculture, education, environmental technology and construction.

They will be briefed on emerging opportunities in the islands and meet potential business partners through a series of pre-arranged one-on-one meetings.
