The American Samoan governor, Togiola Tulafono, has signed into law a bill to approve half a million US dollars to buy urgently needed drugs for the LBJ Medical Center.
The Senate President, Lolo Moliga, says he appreciates the governor's effort to help the hospital faced by a lack of money.
He says the problem is real and it's a matter of life and death that must be addressed immediately.
The LBJ hospital has repeatedly suffered from cashflow problems.
