Australia has issued a caution for tourists to Tonga.
The Tongan Public Service has been on strike since July 22nd, with workers calling for raises of up to 80 per cent.
Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs notes there have been disruptions to hospital and medical services and continuing strike action has the potential to affect other services, including possibly the operation of international flights into and out of Tonga.
It says Australians are advised to avoid demonstrations and large public gatherings.
