The Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas has signed an agreement with a South Korean film company to feature the islands in a new TV drama series.
After a year of negotiations an agreement has been signed between the Marianas Visitor Authority and Starmax Fly Entertainment.
The Saipan Tribune reports the MVA will provide half a million US dollars towards the film project, and support for other services such as discounts for equipment and free hotel accommodation for cast and crew.
Starmax will feature Saipan, Tinian and Rota in 20 episodes of a drama series, tentatively titled "Tango with You", and promote the commonwealth as a travel destination.
