Fiji's finance minister has ruled out a flat tax regime for the country.
Under such a taxation system all individuals and companies pay only one low rate of tax regardless of income or profits.
Ratu Jone Kubuabola told a gathering of the Fiji Institute of Accountants that a flat tax regime without the appropriate investment incentives, is not the right model for the country.
Ratu Jone said Fiji's taxation system needed to be refined.
