Fiji top seed for Hong Kong Sevens

The Fiji rugby 7s side had two solid runs at the Horse Racing Track grounds in Hong Kong as coach Waisale Serevi drills the side just a few days ahead of the kickoff at the IRB World Series Sevens.

Serevi says the side is injury free and eager to run on to the Government Stadium in the opening match against Sri Lanka on Friday.

He says his side will be using three different combinations in their lineup to keep the big guns like New Zealand, England, South Africa and Samoa guessing.

While Fiji is the tournaments top seed and favourite to win, they are expecting tough competition from joint leaders New Zealand and the ever improving Samoans

But despite this Serevi says their thoughts are with their people back home.

"This week everyone home are all looking foward to the Hong Kong Sevens, when we win the Hong Kong Sevens it is a good year for everyone at home."
