Fiji netball side aims to play in Melbourne ahead of South Pacific Games

The Fiji netball squad hopes to play in Melbourne in its build up to the South Pacific Games in August.

A fifteen strong squad to defend its title in Samoa is expected to be announced today.

Fiji Netball Secretary,Patricia Rokoua, says a number of initiatives are planned to prepare the squad for Apia and further ahead, the World Champs in New Zealand in November.

Rokoua says training camps are planned as is a trip to Melbourne while specialist coaches from New Zealand and Australia will be invited to instruct the team.
