Fiji's Daily Post newspaper has issued an online apology for printing an erroneous story.
In today's print edition, the paper reported that Fiji had retained the Rugby 7's IRB world title after reaching the semi-finals in the last tournament of the season in Scotland.
However, Fiji failed to win the quarter-final game and the New Zealand team won the IRB series.
The Daily Post online says the reporter's prediction was false.
