Pacific Plan Action Committee meeting underway in Fiji

12:35 pm on 3 April 2008

The Pacific Plan Action Committee, made up of officials from Pacific Governments and regional agencies, is meeting in Nadi to determine what progress has been made on the Plan.

The Pacific Islands Forum Secretary General, Greg Urwin, says Plan is the entry point for discussions on greater regional cooperation and integration.

It draws attention to four key areas of economic growth, sustainable development, good governance and security.

The Plan is now three years old and its timetable demands that a number of achievements can be pointed to later in 2008.
