The Samoa government has offered to fund overseas treatments in New Zealand for a female student suffering severe burns from a petrol bomb attack in last week's schools violent brawl.

The Leififi college student is currently admitted at the high dependency unit of Tupua Tamasese Mea'ole hospital, awaiting transfer to Auckland's Middlemore hospital sometime next week.

Plastic surgery will be undertaken on the burns she suffered to her face and chest.

The twenty students and a teacher of Don Bosco School who are in police custody have been charge with offences such as assault, disturbing the peace, armed with dangerous weapons, and willful damage.
