RAMSI Participating Police Force in Solomon Islands have shot dead a crocodile after responding to a request for help from a community in West Guadalcanal.
The 4.2 metre crocodile had reportedly been stalking Marumbo village near Lambi in recent weeks and according to villagers, it had killed a pig.
RAMSI has promised to kill crocodiles and urges anyone with concerns about dangerous animals in their area to report the matter to police.
