The Special Coordinator of the Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands has thanked Palau for its contribution to RAMSI.
Speaking on the occasion of Palau National Day, Tim George said Palau's strong and consistent contribution of police personnel has provided valuable experience and professionalism for RAMSI.
Palau is also celebrating its third anniversary as a contributing country member of RAMSI this month and currently has two police officers in the mission.
Mr George says the officers from the Palau Police Force bring with them great experience of policing in communities which have similarities to communities in Solomon Islands, in terms of custom, culture and religion.
He says contributions like Palau's add a real depth to the mission and really enhance RAMSI's ability to do its job effectively in partnership with Solomon Islands.
