An American born contestant, Gwendolyn Pona Tuaitanu, has won the Miss Samoa title for the first time.
The competition was held on the week-end in Apia where nine competitors including six local beauties, and three representing the Samoan communities in Australia, New Zealand, and the United States took part.
The pageant was the finale of the annual Teuila festival and the winner will represent Samoa in the Miss South Pacific beauty pageant to be held in American Samoa next month.
