The leader of the Vanuatu police contingent with the Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands, Chief Inspector Amos Solip, passed away suddenly yesterday at the police post at Isuna on the Weathercoast of Guadalcanal.
The Special Co-ordinator of RAMSI, Graeme Wilson, says he was deeply saddened by the untimely death of the 54-year-old Mr Solip.
He says the Chief Inspector's work was a reflection of the outstanding contribution Vanuatu continues to make to RAMSI in support of Solomon Islands.
