The first 2009 draft for the Solomon Islands Federal Constitution is now available for public viewing.
The Constitution, which is amended from the Draft Solomon Islands Federal Constitution 2004, was announced in June this year as having been passed by the Joint Constitutional Congress/Eminent Persons Advisory Council Plenary.
A copy of the document can be view online at www.sicr.gov.sb.
The prime minister Derek Sikua says his government will try its best to have the final draft Federal Constitution ready before parliament is dissolved in April ahead of general elections.
