The management of Taunovo Bay Resort in Fiji has signed an agreement with the Labour Ministry to pay workers money owed since late last year.

About 60 workers walked off the job in January protesting against the management of the luxury hotel, claiming they had been short-paid.

The Chief Executive Officer of the resort, Mitch Hagerman, has confirmed the agreement is to meet payments in installments over the next few weeks.
