Fiji government representatives are in talks with their British and French counterparts with regards to the kava ban in place for Fiji.

During bilateral talks with the Agriculture Ministry, the Permanent Secretary Colonel Mason Smith revealed that one of the main topics of conversation was the kava ban and how best the issue can be addressed.

He told Fiji Village the ambassadors were receptive to Fiji's stand on the issue.

The kava ban was imposed on Fiji by the European Union because of health fears.
