Sport: Samoa upbeat ahead of must-win Springboks clash

7:45 am on 30 September 2011

It's do or die for Samoa in tonight's Rugby World Cup Pool D match against South Africa.

They need to beat the Springboks, then hope Wales lose to Fiji on Sunday, or win with a bonus point and hope the Welsh fail to get one, if they're to progress to the semi finals.

Despite the big expectations from supporters back home assistant coach Tom Coventry says the team doesn't feel under any added pressure.

He says they don't feel they've played to their potential in the tournament yet and want to put in a performance they can be proud of.

Tom Coventry says it will be important for Samoa to find a balance between sensible tactical play and also utilising the attacking flair they at their disposal.
