Reports from Fiji say two people died in a lightning strike.
The Fiji Sun reports it hit eight women on a fishing trip at Waiqanake, outside Suva.
One of the victims has been named as 48-year-old Seruwaia Kerevakacakau.
The other person to die was 18-year old Ema Dromunacua, who succumbed to her injuries on the way to hospital.
Viti Levu has been hit by wet weather this week which also caused electricity supply problems.
