The Papua New Guinea political party headed by the caretaker Deputy Prime Minister Belden Namah, the PNG Party, has bought its own plane.

The Post Courier says in a first in PNG politics the party has paid 1 point 2 million US dollars for a nine seater King Air B200 aircraft.

Mr Namah has said he is putting millions of dollars of his own money into the election campaign.

The man who described his invasion of the courtroom of Chief Justice Sir Salamo Injia two weeks ago as a courageous new form of leadership, has claimed he will form the new government following the election.
