The Cook Islands Ministry of Education is developing its financial curriculum with the Young Enterprise Trust in New Zealand.
The Young Enterprise Trust will run a trial among Year 12 and 13 students at Rarotonga's Tereora College next year.
A Young Enterprise Trust spokesperson, Robyn Borne, says they have a year to test the feasibility:
"We're talking about setting up the structure and communities interest for Young Enterprise to operate in the Cook Islands and to trial that in one of the local high schools. Our hope is that we'll become a sustainable structure and that other schools will come on board to undertake the programme."
