Casino owners on Tinian in the Northern Marianas say they are likely to stop expansion plans due to what it claims is preferential treatment for another investor.

Tinian Dynasty Hotel & Casino's new owner confirmed that it may stop expansion plans over the newly enacted law allowing casino gaming on neighbouring Saipan and its subsequent amendment.

Governor Eloy Inos says he expects Hong Kong based company Mega Stars Overseas Limited to be one of the applicants for the exclusive casino licence on Saipan.

The legal changes appear to have halted additional planned investments worth million of dollars.
