China's well-to-do are increasingly a target for top-end tourism operators in Fiji and a special guide has been produced to point them in the direction of four and five star resorts in the islands.

Arrivals from China have increased by almost 14 percent in the last year, and the Chinese market was the fastest growing market behind South Korea for the year up until November.

Damend Gounder of Tour Managers, which helped produce the guide, says the booklet will help the increasing number of independent travellers from China navigate their way around Fiji.

"The market is changing and maturing and I have seen more Chinese tourists coming in, going for dives, opting for sky diving, looking for very remote resorts."
