The mission is being jointly coordinated by the Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC) and Pacific Islands Trade and Invest (PT&I).

Selected exporters will be promoting products such as virgin coconut oil, fruit, vegetables, spices and coffee.

A memorandum of understanding signed yesterday in Suva cements the collaboration to showcase Pacific products to leading chefs and boost export opportunities.

Speaking at the signing New Zealand's Trade Commissioner, Michael Greenslade, says he is looking forward to introducing the participants to some of Auckland's high profile Pacific chefs.

The chefs will show the enterprises how their products can be used in restaurant dishes and what is required to be successful in supplying the hospitality market.
