An ANZ Bank study suggests Pacific countries like Fiji, Samoa and Tonga, have the potential to attract information technology-related industries.
It says this could boost economies by up to 3.5 per cent over the next five years, creating thousands of jobs in the process.
The bank's monthly research survey showws outsourcing could emerge as a new driver of Pacific growth.
