Papua New Guinea's government has outlined how it plans to get more of its population connected to the electricity grid.
Only 12 percent of the country is currently connected.
The Asian Development Bank, the Department of Petroleum and Energy and PNG Power released the plan in Port Moresby on Friday.
It involves expanding the 34 provincial grids to include more rural areas.
The Assistant Secretary of the Department of Petroleum and Energy, Vore Veve, says the overall government target is to connect 70 percent of the population by 2030.
