Papua New Guinea and Scotland are evenly poised after day one of their Round Six Intercontinental Cup cricket match in Port Moresby.
The Barramundis chose to bat first in hot and humid conditions at Amini Park and reached 285 for 7 before bad light ended play.
Opening duo Vani Vagi Morea and Tony Ura raced through to 27 without loss inside five overs before Ura was dismissed by Safyaan Sharif.
Lega Siaka joined Morea at the crease and the duo put on a 51-run stand for the second wicket before Morea was also dismissed by Sharif for 53 runs before captain Assad Vala fell two balls later, to leave the home side 78 for 3.

Siaka and Sese Bau then steadied the ship, with Siaka eventually falling for 48 and Bau notching a half-century (51), before Chad Soper (32*) and Norman Vanua
(17*) guided the home side to stumps.
"We are in a good position even though we could have done more with the batting, but that is the way it is," said Barramundis' wicket-keeper Jack Vare-Kevere, who made 42.
"A number of us had starts and it would have been great if a number of us could have converted them into bigger scores.
"We need to bat on tomorrow, hopefully to post a big score and then take ten wickets."

Sharif was the pick of the Scottish bowlers, taking all four top-order wickets to finish with figures 4 for 69 from 18 overs.
The Intercontinental Cup clash runs for four days, followed by two one day matches in the World Cricket League Championship.
