We meet up with University of California scholar and lawyer Stephen Rosenbaum. He's in the country as a guest of the Parent and Family resource Centre based in Auckland. Stephen Rosenbaum says he's spent a large chunk of his professional career combating discrimination against disabled people in the areas of jobs and schooling. And it's his interest in advocating for the rights of disabled children to attend regular schools that brought him into contact with the Parent and Family Resource Centre. Having met up with Centre Advocate Rod Wills, when Rod was in the States last year, Stephen Rosenbaum says he was pleased to get an invitation to come to New Zealand. He says he's here to help improve advocacy for disabled students.
