A small plane has safely landed at Auckland's Ardmore Airport after struggling to get its landing gear working.
The Fire Service was alerted to the aircraft circling the airport about 1.45pm.
It said the plane, carrying two people, spent about 20 minutes trying to sort the landing gear out, and in that time, three fire trucks and a tanker positioned themselves at the runway.
The Fire Service said the plane landed about 2.15pm, and neither person onboard were injured.
