Dairy prices have fallen slightly at Fonterra's online auction.
The dairy cooperative's Global Dairy Trade-Weighted Price Index on Wednesday fell 0.5% to an average selling price of $US3,042 a metric tonne.
Whole milk powder rose 2.7%, buttermilk powder rose 2.5%, skim milk powder fell 4.8% cheddar fell 3.7%.
Two weeks ago the index surged by 13.5% compared with the previous month, the largest rise since September 2010.
