Fairfax Media posts annual loss of $A2.7 billion

Fairfax Media has widened its annual loss to $A2.7 billion in the year to June.

This compares with a $A390 million loss the previous year.

The media company, which owns newspapers on both sides of the Tasman, says it has weathered tough trading conditions, particularly in the second half.

Shares in the company have fallen as much as 4.5% since it posted its results.
