Facebook has unveiled a new product to enable users to search its content. Graph Search will let users search the site's content with specific queries.
Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg announced Graph Search at its Silicon Valley headquarters in Menlo Park, south of San Francisco on Tuesday.
"Graph search is not web search," Zuckerberg said. ''In Graph Search users can search people, photos, places and other Facebook content.''
AAP reports there was plenty of speculation ahead of the reveal after the company issued a cryptic invitation.
Some analysts were tipping Facebook would launch a smartphone, but it did not do so.
