New radar investment by fishing company

Fishing company Sealord has invested more than $750,000 in new high-tech radar to study marine life.

Chief executive Graham Stuart said the radar is a world first, and will be used to help maintain and improve the science that ensures fish stocks are well managed.

He said the highly accurate radar will first be used to assess the numbers of orange roughy.
