Telecom can't say when problems will be fixed

Telecom does not know when it can fix two failures which have hit its own internal services as well as those of major companies.

The company said the problems follow a nationwide upgrade at the weekend, as well as a new failure which cut off its website and call centres, and those of some corporate customers.

A Telecom spokesman said the weekend upgrade should have returned to normal on Monday morning, restoring services such as topping-up mobile phones.

It continues to grapple with a fault which struck at 7.30am, cutting itself off from customers, and affecting an unspecified number of unnamed corporate clients.
