Casino and cinema operator Sky City Entertainment Group is to appoint the chairman of MediaWorks, Brent Harman, and former New Zealand Rugby Union chief executive, Chris Moller, as directors.
Sky City chairman Rod McGeoch says the two men bring valuable skills from working in the entertainment industry.
They will replace Patsy Reddy and Bill Trotter, who are to retire at the company's annual meeting at the end of October.
Sky City's chief executive will also join the board, making him managing director.
The appointments of Mr Harman and Mr Moller require shareholder and regulatory approval.
