George Frazis has been appointed as the new chief executive of Westpac New Zealand, following an international search.
He replaces Brad Cooper, who became Westpac Group's chief transformation officer in June this year.
Mr Frazis is currently NAB's group executive general manager of development and new business.
Acting chief executive, Bruce McLachlan will resume his position of general manager, consumer.
The appointment of Mr Frazis is subject to approval from the Reserve Bank.
