The Warehouse to invest in six new product areas

The Warehouse says it is investing in six new product areas which it believes will be crucial to delivering growth in the next few years.

New Zealand's largest listed retailer is also investing in larger stores called Warehouse Xtra, which will house a wider range of these new products.

Managing director Ian Morrice says the group has identified six product areas which it believes will be key growth areas for the retailer, including health and beauty, electronics, jewellery and shoes.

Mr Morrice says more mini-stores will be also rolled out across the country under the brand name Warehouse Local.
