EBOS has agreed to sell its scientific equipment arm to an American firm which the healthcare equipment supplier says will leave it debt-free.

The scientific business, which includes Global Science and Technology in New Zealand, has been bought by American giant VWR International for an undisclosed amount.

EBOS chief executive Mark Waller says the market is consolidating towards two large players and the timing is ideal, allowing it to concentrate on its main earner, the healthcare market.
