New chairman for Wakefield Health

Wakefield Health says its long standing chairman John Calder has resigned and will step down this month.

The private healthcare company says he will be suceeded by Wellington based director Alan Isaac, who has extensive experience in corporate governance and management.

Mr Isaac was the chairman of KPMG New Zealand for 10 years.

John Calder has chaired Wakefield Health for more than 20 years, seeing the company progress from a single two-theatre hospital to a listed company with three hospitals, 13 theatres and a market capitalisation of around $100 million.
