Eurozone economic growth picks up

Activity in the eurozone's economy has quickened, powered by strong growth from Germany.

The 17 nation zone grew 0.8% in the first three months of the year, compared with 0.3% expansion in the previous quarter, the BBC reports.

While most of the improvement is due to Germany, Greece also surprised with strong growth, while contrast, Portugal slipped into recession.
