House values remained flat in May, according to latest Quotable Value figures.
QV's residential house price index fell to $404,057, down from $405,310 reported in April.
Values are now 1.6% lower than at the same time last year and 5.7% below the market peak in late 2007.
While house values are static at a national level, QV says, there has been a steady increase in values in Auckland in the past few months.
