Sales of Rugby World Cup gear boosted first-quarter sales at The Warehouse.
New Zealand's largest listed retailer says its red sheds made sales of $323 million in the 13 weeks to the end of October, 2.3% more than in the same period a year ago.
Sales at stores open more than a year rose 2.1%.
On a same store basis, sales at Warehouse Stationery stores rose 0.3%.
Forsyth Barr retail analyst Guy Hallwright says the figures are encouraging.
