Aftershocks continue to rattle Canterbury

Several more aftershocks have been felt in Canterbury on Saturday, two of magnitude 4.5.

The first occurred at at 1:37 am, within 5km of Darfield, at a depth of 7km.

The second, at 10.03am, 20km south-west of Christchurch was at a depth of 20km - further away from the city and deeper than many of the others that residents have experienced in recent days.

Another, of magnitude 3.9, occurred at 10.44 am, 20 km west of Christchurch and was felt in the city.

In comparison, the region experienced six aftershocks on Friday morning.
