A plumbing supplier has set up a website co-ordinating workers to help quake-affected homes in Christchurch.
The company LEAP launched the website letsfixit.org.nz last week as a place for plumbers, drainlayers and gasfitters to lodge interest and for home owners to register for help.
Co-ordinator Josie Skipper says its 60 volunteers can help with things such as fixing hot-water cylinders or blocked toilets and sinks.
Ms Skipper says about 15 homeowners have been helped so far and there are two volunteers working at any one time.
However, people with serious problems should contact Civil Defence or Christchurch City Council, she says.
