The demolition of another top Christchurch hotel has begun.
The Crowne Plaza on the corner of Kilmore and Durham streets was irreparably damaged in the series of earthquakes which rocked the city over the past year.
The demolition began on Monday and is scheduled for completion by June next year.
Once the demolition is finished the site, which is next to Victoria Square, will be returned to grass.
