New Zealand begins day seven of the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in fourth place on the medal table after Julia Ratcliffe snatched hammer throw gold.

Tuesday brought three more medals: gold for Julia Ratcliffe in the hammer throw, silver for Linda Villumsen in the women's road cycling time trial, and for rowing convert Hamish Bond in the men's event.

First up on Wednesday is a crunch game for the Silver Ferns. They must beat or draw with England, or rely on goal percentage to edge out the likes Malawi and Uganda.

Diving begins, shooting and lawn bowls continue, and the Black Sticks men take on Australia.

After the women's beach volleyball team bowed out in the quarter-finals, the men play Canada in the semi-finals.
